Starting Today . . . Can you be Honest?
Posted by The Scenario: Have you ever had a vision about accomplishing a goal then quickly disregarded it because someone said it wasn’t the right time, that’s crazy, or you didn’t get the support you wanted? Then later you looked back and thought, “Why did I listen to that person? I could have done it, but now it’s too late.” When you invest in yourself you have to be painfully honest. Did you hold yourself back because of boundaries, barriers or roadblocks? Or did you hesitate simply because someone said you couldn’t, or shouldn’t, do something? It takes years of practice and maturity to recognize when we are insecure, hesitant and doubtful. Then, it takes even longer to be honest and admit it to ourselves. Can you be honest with yourself? Comfort those feelings and tackle the barriers that hold back your true potential. The Insight: Are you honest with yourself? If not, it’s okay. Just start today! Starting Today . . . Are you Contagious?
Posted by The Scenario: There was a song that some of us used to sing called This Little Light of Mine. If we mask the religious context for the sake of the point I’m making and apply the ideology to our mantra for 2011, it implies three very important things that we often forget. First, it tells us to listen to our positive inner voice and let it be our guide for life. It will bring us closer to what inspires us, and closer to the life we want. Second, value yourself. Increase your self-worth and build a moral foundation rooted in your value systems. Believe that you are already the person you want to be and project that image. Third, it tells us to share. But, to be heard you have to learn to listen. There is a natural cadence and energy between two people when they connect. That is communication. It’s like a dance with many people. The Insight: Positive, contagious energy is symbolized by light in This Little Light of Mine. Are you contagious? By Sheba www.bySheba.com A Positive Perspective for Life, Love and Relationships

Starting Today . . . Do you Invest in Yourself?
Posted by The Scenario: What does investing in yourself mean to you?
Do you learn to build your inner strength, free your mind of fear and disappointment and increase your self-worth? Do you learn to listen to your inner voice, listen to others or confront your emotions head on? To stay committed to investing in yourself in 2011 you have to follow all the above steps.
How do you build your inner strength?
Recognize and tend to your personal needs. Know what you physically and mentally need to put your best self forward. Me? I need sleep, exercise, creative time, solitude and connections with those I love.
What are your personal needs?
Next, how do you begin to free your mind of fear and disappointment?
Envision and believe in your success. The negativity associated with fear, doubt and disappointment clutters our minds. Keep it simple. Tackle one goal at time. If your brain says, “no you can’t,” that’s when you fight back and state, “YES I CAN AND I WILL” with confidence. Declare your positive affirmation.
Me? I will move a reader to reflect openly and honestly and reach for higher self-awareness.
The Insight: Investing in yourself means many things to different people. What does it mean to you?
